Havaianas Flagship Store in Malaysia!

My first introduction to Havaianas came a little later than others. Although I caught up with lost time with over 12 pairs to my name, I've been told that this is nothing compared to the hardcore Havaianistas' haul.  So if you're one of them, then this piece of news here might send you to a palpitating frenzy. Come this November, Malaysia will host the biggest Havaianas flagship store outside of Brasil. Time to give your feet some sweet, sweet rubber loving soon!

Havaianas have had its claim to fame many times amongst the wheelers and dealers of the fashion world. From Nina Garcia who in her book The One Hundred, noted that "everyone from the average citizen to the highest dignitary wears them" to Christian Louboutin who said, "Every woman should own three pairs of shoes -- high heels, flats, and Havaianas." EXTRA Beauty Tips

1. Widen eyes

To make your eyes appear farther apart, line top lashline from the midpoint of your eye to just beyond its outer edge. Continue line from the outer corner about 1/ inch into you lower lashes-this will draw attension to the outside of youe eyes
2. Create drama
Line your inner rims with a pencil eyeliner to give subtle eye makeup a darker, and more intense look(skip itif you have small eyes,or they'll look tiny). Liquid and shadow liners are not formulated for this area-neither one sticks to moist skin.
3. Enhance color

Wear a coloured liner that complements youe eye shade to make it stnad out. If you have blue eyes, pick deep blue or green; for brown and hazel eyes, try olive green or khaki; for green eyes, get gold or bronze; and if they're dark brown, try purple.

4. Brighten eyes

Use eyeshadow and a brush to draw a thin strip of linear along top lashes. It will open up your eyes. If your eyes are smal, avoid lining lower lashes and don't use pencil or liquid liners: They're dark and heavy, so they'll lose up your eyes, making them squinty.
5. Take it off

Use premoistened eye makeup-remover pads that contzin vitamin e or aloe to erase eyeliner. They are the easiest to use to take off all liners -even the waterproof ones-and they will help moisturise the skin around your eyes so it doesn't dry out or get flaky.

DIY: Levi's Tic-Tac-Toe Tee

Honestly, I'm not good with craftwork. I tend to prick myself with a needle too much, get glue all over my art piece and above all, my idea of creativity is limited to using objects around me as texture stamps. It's because of that I rarely feel the need to create "Do-it-yourself" gifts  especially for Christmas in fear of insulting others. All that changed when I was challenged to a DIY Levi's shirt. I can now proudly say I overcame a few of my gripes above! This it how I did my Tic-Tac-Toe-Tee - perfect for the gift-giving holidays.

What's in the bag:

-       A Tic-Tac-Toe-Tee printed with a tic-tack-toe bars
-       Felt hearts and crosses

What you need:
-       Black and red thread
-       Sewing kit

Step 1:
Lay down the shirt flat on the table; place the unsown felt pieces around the shirt squares until you're happy with your placements.

 Step 2:
Sew the felt in simple stitches, get playful with them if you must. For the hearts a simple running stitch and for the crosses, tiny 'X' on the edges holds it up perfectly. And, use different coloured thread if you must. We chose a red thread for the black felt crosses and vice-versa for the red hearts.

  

 Step 3:

 Gift wrap it and you're done! So simple, I almost felt guilty claiming ownership of the work.

Falsies Eyelash is a weapon to kill men ♥

One of the things I’ve been obsessing about is my eyelashes. I have been obsessing over having long and voluminous lashes for years that I even used to have my eyelashes permed. Us Asians usually have stick straight and thin eyelaashes so for me, it’s essential to curl and put on mascara to complete the entire makeup. However sometimes it just isn’t enough especially when you’re aiming for that dramatic look. 

I remember I had a specific look I wanted on my event day and it included long lashes. Yes I may be vain but I think I was entitled to looking most fabulous that day. So I decided I needed to do something about my lashes. I didn’t want to get eyel

ash extensions because I personally cannot follow all the do’s and don’ts for maintenance. So I just chose to do the easiest and most convenient thing one can do- put on false eyelashes or falsies.

I have been more wearing false eyelashes nowadays as I keep practicing and timing myself to finish in just a few minutes. One of my most favorite pair that I got just recently. It’s soft, and surpisingly natural-looking. I read that Oprah and Madonna uses mink lashes too. It’s also great that animals aren’t harmed because these lashes are made from selected mink furs that have been harvested by gently brushing live farm animals.

I have been doing different looks and using false eyelashes and I have to say it makes a big difference! So if you’re like me who wants gorgeous looking eyes, I would recommend trying out false eyelashes, whether I be plastic or mink lashes. Show off those sexy flappers!
